Our Philosophy
The Joplin History & Mineral Museum is committed to creating exhibitions that inspire our diverse audiences to engage deeply with Joplin and its mining history. We see our visitors as partners in actively exploring exhibition content.

Our story starts as a group of Joplinites who decided that we needed to have a place to tell the story of our town and how it began. The best way to look forward is to look back into the past.
